Samsung S23 Rumors

Just like last year, Samsung may launch their upcoming Samsung S23 models in February 2023. The new update may be more iterative rather than innovative with S23 lineup keeping the same look and feel of the S22 models. Main upgrades include better battery, camera and faster and more reliable fingerprint reader. The new S23 models may be powered by latest Snapdragon chipset called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which will help in improving fluidity, better battery utilization and consumption, enhanced image processing. This will also ensure an overall increased performance by 1.4 times (multicore).

Samsung and even newer iPhone 14 models couldn't compete with the best performing iPhone 13 Pro Max in terms of battery life. With medium to heavy usage, customers were left wanting for more by the end of the day. But with increased battery size and new chipset, S23 models may see a slight improvement. Samsung may keep the same 25W charging speed for S23 while the bigger models S23 Plus and Ultra may also get the same 45W charging speed.

It's likely that Samsung will also feature the new Gorilla Glass Victus which will help phones survive damage from drops onto rough and hard surfaces from up to 2 meters.
